Idea for How to Relax

Looking for ways to quickly relax?

My favorite go to is meditating or reading a book on a balcony while basking in the sun. Even with 5 minutes I can take few deep breaths and take in some fresh air. When I notice my body is becoming tense, especially my shoulders, I make a conscious effort to breathe into that tension, while I lower my shoulders down.

There are many other ways to relax and here are just a few to get you started:

- making a cup of tea and drinking it while looking out the window

- drawing without focusing on the subject

- writing down what we are grateful for

- listening to your favorite music

- dancing to an upbeat song

- hugging someone close to you

- giving yourself a hug if no one is around

- brushing your hair while smiling to yourself in the mirror

- basking in the sun

- going outside for a walk

- watching a cute video
